Charles Sheehan-Miles, Just remember to breath - Review.

lex Thompson’s life is following the script. A pre-law student at Columbia University, she’s focused on her grades, her life and her future. The last thing she needs is to reconnect with the boy who broke her heart.

Dylan Paris comes home from Afghanistan severely injured and knows that the one thing he cannot do is drag Alex into the mess he’s made of his life.

When Dylan and Alex are assigned to the same work study program and are forced to work side by side, they have to make new ground rules to keep from killing each other.

Only problem is, they keep breaking the rules.

The first rule is to never, ever talk about how they fell in love.

This book was very unexpected for me, and I enjoyed that. It had a serious tone that made you want to read more and find out the characters stories they came to life on the page and it became much more than a fluffy romance, it had a serious story line that made it so much more.

I found myself emotionally drawn into this book and especially the characters, you found yourself feeling their emotions which shows just how well written the story is.

Alex has lived a very sheltered life thanks to her parents, they want her to be successful but their way and if they disagree with something then it generally goes away. Alex is currently in Collage and living with her best friends, after the break-up from hell six months ago she has decided to get her life back on track and take control, that is until she finds herself face to face with him, and suddenly her emotions are going off the rails.

Dylan has recently returned back from war with more than just a physical injury, not only has he had to struggle through learning to walk again but he is also dealing with some emotional demons and enough guilt to sink a small boat. He wants to make something of his life and prove that he can get better so he decided to head back to collage even if he knows that's where she will be.

After an unexpected meeting between Alex and Dylan they both realize that they need to work through the past in order to move forward but is their too much pain for them to find themselves yet alone be together.

 3.5/5 stars
